KIM CLANTON
Kim Clanton has more than 35 years of experience working with glass and has attended some of the most prestigious institutions for his craft, including Penland School of Crafts and Pilchuck Glass School. In his early career, Clanton studied with well-known glass artist, Kent Ipsen, at Virginia Commonwealth University and he apprenticed with the prominent glass artists, Kim Newcomb and Jon Kuhn. In 2008, his piece BLACK SEA POD was featured in The Corning Museum’s New Glass Review 29. Clanton, a resident of Deerfield, Virginia, is currently affiliated with Trinity Studios in Waynesboro, Virginia.
